9th- How to Structure a Farm business- What to do When your hobby becomes a job! April 9th 6-8pm at the Silver Spoon Café in the Human Services Building at 323 Owego Street in Montour Falls, NY 14865. Join CCE as we welcome Pam Colomaio, VP of REDEC (Regional Economic Development and Energy Corporation of the Southern Tier) to learn how to structure your farm business and how to go about expanding your ability to accept electronic payments (credit & debit cards).Registration is appreciated by April 7. ROBOTICS FLL/FTC Application Deadline

13th- Paper work is needed for every member to be part of the teams which include one 4-H application per youth($15) and there is a family rate($30) Must have these for the 13th----

and then the FLL/FTC application- this is in writing why your youth would like to be part of our teams in their words. Cost $55 per season and we are very flexible in the payment plan to fit every family.

Lastly the final deadline will be April 13th this year to get on a team!!!!! Please email your friends if interested and if you were part of last years team I need to hear from you before or on that date on your plans to return. Spaces are very limited as we have 7-8 for the FTC team already and most likely will run only 2-3 FLL teams only this year. Call Roger 535-7161 for more details.

22nd- CCE of Schuyler County Board of Directors Meeting held in room 115 of the Human Services Complex at noon.

11th-4-H Explores-Come and discover careers, creatures and environment. Open to ages 7-11, held on Saturdays form 10:30am to 11:45am. Please call 607-535-7161 or email [email protected] for questions on fees to attend and details.

24th- Successful Hops Produciton for Craft Brewing in the Finger Lakes- April 24th from 9am to 4pm. Held at the Elks Club at 300 North Madison Ave Watkins Glen, NY 14891. Learn how to get started hops growing, how to develop a hops IPM strategy, marketing your harvest, using sheep to control weeds in the hops yard and what breweries are looking for. Guest speakers include J. Robert Sirrine, PH.D, MSU Hops Expert, Tim Weigle, IPM Specialist. Finger Lakes Farmhouse Hops and Climbing Bines Hops Farm. The fee is $45 dollars which includes a buffet lunch. Please register (along with payment) by April 18th. This workshop is being offered by Schuyler and Steuben County Cornell Cooperative Extensions.
