I am fear, smoke, the endless inferno

When the sun rises, I smother the daytime itself

An acre can pass as brisk as a summer’s evening by my hand alone

A fate yet undecided by life’s shipmaster is to become of anything that surrounds me

The weak panic at the sight of my magnitude, but do they not comprehend I am their creation?

First prophesied to be man’s initial discovery, society concludes

Often cooking your meals and silently watching your every move

Waiting each day for you to finally misstep into my grasp

My single master, death, unleashing me

The scarce scene I portray to anyone who looks upon me

Finding in silver lining within me

I bring death, new life, and everything in between

Conceiving the ash of my newly birthed life

I can force pain onto the world through my earthly powers

Scorching leaves within my branches

Smouldering into a hollow trunk

Tomorrow the angel’s nightmare becomes true

Depression coats fog unto the midnight treetops

August abounds by glory of a new blaze

Flawless is the annual occasion

Wildfire
