Family Guy and Jews

17

The story here takes a turn and starts to depict Jews differently, from a Catholic point of view as a Catholic ghost visits Lois’s husband in his dream and informs him that he will go to hell for not devoting his life to Catholicism. The story goes on in an anti-Semitic manner, portraying Judaism and Jews as abnormal, as opposed to Catholics and their religion. Nota bene, this episode is just a fragment of what stereotypes this sitcom is about. The typical representation of Jews is that they are all lawyers, rich, greedy, reserved, and more successful than “average” people.
