Knitting is very popular with young & old Icelanders and enjoys a long tradition . A common pattern you see today is the Icelandic horse and actually the Icelandic sweater or „ lopapeysa “ has been dressing farmers and horse riders for centuries and is the perfect outfit for riding tours . For this tour we have a special „ knitting guide “ who will teach us new patterns . Choice of riding lessons and trail rides with the charming Kálholt family . We visit wool workshops and a Sheep Round Up and with a little luck we will see the Northern Lights as a bonus .
