the recognition we deserve for it from not
just men but other women.
3. VALUE YOURSELF OVER
EVERYTHING
Getting to know myself has been the most
challenging, fearless and inspirational acts
that I've ever had to do.
When starting my own company, by
myself with no financial assistance and
minimal support, I began to realize the key
ingredients were to believe in myself and
above all I had to value who I was and
who I was about to become.
4. VALUE YOUR BRAND
As a black woman, I feel it's 10 times
more difficult, because of how the world
continues to perceive us, no matter what
part of the world we are from.
In saying that, we always need to rise
above the negativity and be confident in
who we are and how we are going to
change the world and create the legacy we
deserve and appreciate the women that
have come before.
You are golden and there is no one on
Earth quite like you. Shine.
This is always such a vulnerable and
fearless act, the act of valuing the
content that you are putting out in the
world. 6. DON'T BE A DOUCHE BAG
How does what you say and act, inspire
or leave a state of influence on other
people’s lives for the better? If you were to start your own company,
become an entrepreneur of some sort
or just living your best life - look to do
something bigger than you and don't be
selfish but be selfless where you can.
Look to steadily increase the lives of
other people for the better - as humans
I strongly feel that we need to create a
‘We’ culture instead of a ‘Me’ culture.
Look to steadily increase the lives of
other people for the better - as humans I
strongly feel that we need to create a we
culture instead of a me culture.
Don’t allow people to take you for
granted. Be fearless and ruthless because
that is the big world of business.
5. CONFIDENCE IS KEY
As women we have many different roles
and obstacles we face and play in our
everyday lives.
It still baffles me that we still hardly ever get
I tell stories for a living and what that
entails is generally having an interest in
other people’s lives and interests.
Simply put, be kind.
