through manipulation and never for the right reasons , so that weighs hard on her . Fallon ' s anger is never surface level anger , it comes from so much more .
MADE : Dynasty , is a legendary show . Although , many of our readers may be too young to remember the cast and the original show , which ran from 1981-1989 , these are big shoes to fill . In the trailer , it appears to be " from the minds of the original creators of Dynasty ". How parallel are the two versions of the show and how has it been updated to fit our generation ?
EG : I think that it ’ s very relative to our generation now . I believe that bringing this show back especially with where we are in the world today is important . We watch two powerful families deal with things through wealth . We deal with oil , energy and fracking alongside many other heavy topics . We also have these two women , Cristal and Fallon at the center of the show , not only behaving like wives , but like businesswomen . We ’ ve kicked up the power and ambition which makes them different from the original characters in the 80 ’ s . These women want to own companies . Fallon ’ s desire is to own the company and be taken seriously as a businesswoman . It ’ s a wonderful image to show girls today that there ’ s nothing we can ’ t do . I ’ m very blessed to be playing a character that strong . Dynasty fans that love the original show will love our show because we ’ re paying homage and tribute through storyline . For new fans , we ’ re starting right from the top so you won ’ t miss anything and experience a revamped , modernized Dynasty fit for this generation .
MADE : Being a part of the Young Hollywood scene , what advice would you give about friendship and success ? Are # SquadGoals possible when attaining the same goal ?
EG : If your squad is solid and you trust everybody in your squad then # SquadGoals are possible . I ’ ve never really had a squad , I ’ m that person that just has a core group of friends . All in all , I ’ d say trust is the biggest factor , just like in a romantic relationship . You don ’ t want anybody in that space who doesn ’ t care about you and will throw you under the bus . I do think as you rise up the ladder of success those friendships do become harder . Jealousy can play a part though I ’ ve never directly encountered that . I ’ d say always be true to yourself and aware of the people around you and their motives . Most of my friends are my old friends or people I ’ ve had around me for about 15 years , so that ’ s how I roll .
MADE : Having 4.6M Followers , how would you describe social media in relation to your career ? Would you say it ' s help build a relatable connection to your fans or do you find it to be intrusive ?
EG : It ’ s so relative now that you ’ re able to monetize from it . I don ’ t use my social media as an outlet to air my personal feelings or issues . That ’ s a line that I don ’ t feel I need to cross . That ’ s what my friends and family are for . I keep my privacy for myself . I love fan art and GIF ’ s . I keep it light .
MADE : Lastly , what advice would you give hopefuls aspiring to get into the industry and make a footprint like you ?
EG : Whatever your passion is , find a way to do it . Whether it ’ s community theater or performing at a coffee house or an open mic …. just do it . It will grow from there . The more experience you have , performing and studying your craft , the more knowledge you ’ ll have when you finally reach that point . School is great , I left high school to be on Broadway and while that was great , I always wished I had the opportunity to learn and dig in deep with acting and music . So , stay educated , keep the passion and don ’ t let the rejection get you down . Do it as much as you can and stay in love with it . Rarely do you hear someone say that they regret learning more . So always be willing to learn .
