THE BRAINCHILD OF TWO ISLAND-RAISED entrepreneurs , Cole Sisson and Shea Sasan , the café ’ s seed money was crowdfunded on Kickstarter . In the final stages of construction ( as of July 2021 ), it ’ s slated for a soft opening in August with espresso and fancy toasts .
Located in the heart of Eastsound , the two friends modeled the café after some of their favorite spaces in Europe . As this community hub grows , you ’ ll find lunch bowls perfect for refueling . Cheese and wine will be showcased in the evenings . A special spotlight for local producers — including gouda from Myers Creamery on Orcas and Chevre from Sunnyfield Farms on Lopez — will be given .
Plus , the two gents plan to host winemaker dinners , guest chef nights , and cooking classes . In true island fashion , this community cultural hub will dabbles in a bit of everything — especially fun . It ’ s primed to be a sophisticated update to the hometown watering hole .
