Salmon Dip
This is something I like to make when my family has left over salmon from the previous dinner . Depending on how the fish was prepared , I remove as much of the spices from the fish . This is a popular dip to serve before a dinner party , or an after school snack for the kids . I prefer to use the whipped cream cheese and sour cream because of the consistency . Thanks to the sour cream it ’ s creamy and the cream cheese gives the dip some definition . You an experiment with the spices , but this is a tried and true recipe that my friends and family thoroughly enjoys . This can done with smoked salmon , or previously cooked salmon . I typically use leftover salmon from a previous meal . Goes great with crackers or sliced baguette .
Remove any bones from salmon . Remove seeds from jalapeno pepper and slice into thin pieces . Slice shallot and chives into thin pieces . Mix all ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until you have a consistent mix . Chill for a couple hours in the refrigerator before serving . It ’ s best served the next day . Serve with crackers or vegetables .
