Ginger Garlic Salmon Kabobs
The garlic ginger sauce is one of my favorite ways to prepare salmon , and serving salmon with vegetables on a skewer gives it a new twist . The sweetness of the ginger , combined with the garlic and soy sauce , is a nice medley of flavors . Some people like to marinate the vegetables , but I prefer to brush them with remaining marinade while the kabobs are grilling . This recipe works well when you need to feed a group or just a sit-down dinner with the family .
Cut salmon , vegetables into 1-inch pieces . Soak skewers in water for 30 minutes . In a separate bowl combine ginger , oyster sauce , soy sauce , honey , sesame oil and white pepper . Marinate salmon for at least 30 minutes . Fill skewers with salmon and vegetables . Over a briquette or gas barbecue , cook salmon skewers until salmon is opaque . With a food brush , give the vegetables and salmon a light coating of remaining marinade while grilling . Serve with rice .
