CLIMATE

Boise has a semi-arid continental climate with four distinct seasons. Boise experiences hot and dry summers with an average high of 91 ° F in July and an average low of 60 ° F. Winters are moderately cold with a December average high of 38 ° F and an average low of 24 ° F. Boise, on average, has 19 inches of snowfall throughout the winter months. Fall is typically brief, with the warm summer weather often drifting into the fall months. Spring is a more gradual transition in Boise with cold winter weather reappearing when you least expect it. The average amount of rainfall in Boise is 11.6 inches a year with most falling on warmer winter days and into the spring months.

The University of Idaho( UI), Idaho State University( ISU) and Northwest Nazarene University( NNU) each maintain a satellite campus in Boise. University of Idaho College of Law hosts second and third year students at its Boise campus and NNU hosts graduate students at its Boise campus.
