STEPS PROJECT: APPLICATION OF MACHINE LEARNING TO
PREDICTING SUCCESS IN UNCONVENTIONALS
UNIVERSITY EDITION | ISSUE 3
Welcome to this University Edition of the Exploration Insights magazine. In this special issue,
we share some of our exciting university engagement programs and activities. Many of our
recent students share their experiences of participating in the internship program, the STEPS
program, and the Earth Model Award, and we have articles from two of our STEPS Master’s
students on their projects.
We welcome contributions from the Halliburton Oman Team on building strategic academic
relationships, collaborating on research work, and engaging in talent development through our
University Software Grants Program. Next year, we will continue sponsoring the SEG EVOLVE
program, providing cloud platform, software access, training, and mentoring for students. The
benefits of the program are demonstrated in this edition.
Your feedback is very valuable, as we continue to improve our programs and publications. We
would love to hear from you if you have comments or questions, or if you utilize Landmark
software in your research and would like to share your results with the wider community.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time for more information on the university
outreach opportunities that Halliburton Landmark offers.
