Top 10 Makes The brand battle in Germany heats up as residual values for Land Rover fall slightly in a market where most RVs are rising. This has enabled Porsche to reclaim the top spot in the German car 3 Month RV% Change MARKET AVERAGE 38.2 +1.8% PORSCHE 46.6 +0.8% LAND ROVER 46.1 -1.1% M INI 45.3 +0.1% BM W 44.4 +0.0% absolute used value terms to see a significant RV percentage increase which is what we see with JAGUAR 42.9 +0.1% Dacia. This has enabled it to leapfrog Skoda which, like Mazda, saw a small downturn in RV AUDI 42.7 +0.1% DACIA 41.9 +1.4% SKODA 41.5 -0.1% VOLVO 40.6 +0.4% M AZDA 40.4 -0.1% market. The next four all stay as last quarter enjoying modest increases in RVs reflective of the general trend in Germany. Whilst using RV percentages is common practice, used vehicles actually sell for real currency amounts and therefore if you have a low list price it only takes a relatively modest increase in fortune but nothing of the scale to cause much concern. Recent new model launches from Volvo have been well received in the market and are seen as a regeneration of the brand. C1 M edium 39.3 -0.0% B1 Small 39.3 +0.4% top 10 in terms of RVs which remains dominated by SUVs. Premium SUVs retained top spot although RVs did move downwards slightly but this was mainly due to ageing of the models in the segment. Large MPVs slipped to fourth place as 2016 saw a significant number of new SUVs being launched which has boosted the overall segment for almost all sizes and from cheap volume compact SUVs up to the luxury end.
