technology with hybrid, electric and alternative energy vehicle sales growing by 84.2%
during the first half of the year, selling more in 6 months than during the whole of 2015,
although it should be acknowledged that such high percentage growth is on the back of
very low absolute sales volumes..
New car sales in total were up 11.2% in June and +12.2% YTD with the domestic Seat León
leading the pack, but even with sales set to hit 1.16m in 2016 and 1.27m next year they
are still circa 22% lower than car sales in 2006. LCV sales also increased, rising 17.3% in
June and 13.8% YTD supporting the generally improving commercial climate.
The appeal of small but premium models during the worst of the economic crisis has
helped push Mini to the top of the RV table but as the economy continues to improve and
