In depth: European equities Increase Hold Decrease Not use We’ve taken one particular asset class or strategy and broken it down into country-by-country attitudes. – This year, in line with a surge in macroeconomic optimism across Europe, sentiments towards European equities have become very positive. – In terms of fund flows, 2016 was a terrible year for European equities but 2017 stands in sharp contrast: between April and July we saw €22bn net pour back in. – Last quarter, investors across all 14 European countries in which we carry out our survey were bullish on European equities. In Q3, it’s still very positive, but just a little less. – The countries that remain particularly positive are Germany, Belgium, France and Italy.
