We’ve taken one particular asset class
or strategy and broken it down into
country-by-country attitudes.
– This year, in line with a surge in
macroeconomic optimism across Europe,
sentiments towards European equities have
become very positive.
– In terms of fund flows, 2016 was a terrible
year for European equities but 2017 stands
in sharp contrast: between April and July
we saw €22bn net pour back in.
– Last quarter, investors across all 14
European countries in which we carry
out our survey were bullish on European
equities. In Q3, it’s still very positive, but
just a little less.
– The countries that remain particularly
positive are Germany, Belgium, France and
Italy.
