Whitehouse at the epicenter of the Anthony Wayne region is uniquely situated along the newly expanded US Route 24 and few minutes to the entrance of the Ohio Turnpike. Its proximity to the major highways makes the region conveniently accessible. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, US Route 24 is a major shipping route in Northwest Ohio. Traffic through this route is composed of both private and commercial motorists. Trucks accounted one third of the traffic.

The company owns and operates approximately 21,000 route miles in 22 states and the District of Columbia. Major operations are in the eastern United States. The company also provides efficient connections to other rail carriers. Norfolk Southern operates the most extensive intermodal network in the East and is a major transporter of coal and industrial products. Toledo, Ohio is one of the cities in the Midwest that has the company’s intermodal classification yard site.

The company’s network covers the Eastern U.S., with more than 21,000 miles of track in 23 states, Washington D.C., Ontario and Quebec; and access to 70 ports. The company operates a hump yard in Toledo, Ohio.
