A Studio of

Storytellers

Studio MB are multi-disciplinary designers, content developers, master planners and project managers. However, when it comes to creating coherent narrative environments for cultural destinations and commercial attractions, it is their ability to tell imaginative and emotive stories that defines their design approach and makes their visitor experiences so special – experiences that inspire, involve and inform – experiences that bring people together, give joy, and enrich lives. experiences

The past two decades have seen the company grow into one of Europe’ s most respected firms – with a portfolio that spans the breadth of the attractions sector. Their achievements range from powerful approaches to moments of national memory and identity – such as Portsmouth’ s D-Day Story and Leicester’ s King Richard III Centre – to international projects on a grand scale – such as the post-Gulf War restoration of Kuwait’ s Al Salam Palace into a vast new museum of national history.
The company’ s multi-disciplinary skills have also been in high demand from commercial clients – including iconic British brand Triumph Motorcycles for their multi-award-winning visitor centre, international construction giant JCB for their customer experience at their Indian Headquarters in Ballabgarh near Delhi; and new whisky distillery experiences here in the UK, one in the Cairngorms and one in Northumbria.
Studio MB also works with established museums and attractions, helping them evolve, innovate and engage more deeply with their ever-changing audiences. In recent years new galleries at Titanic Belfast, Dynamic Earth, and others, have meant collaborating closely with operators and venue managers in a cycle of continuous improvement that builds upon their core strengths.
Charlie Barr, Founding Director said,“ In the past decade we have completed many amazing projects, both here in the UK and internationally – from Reykjavík to Riyadh, Delhi to Dublin, San Antonio to Shanghai – we thank each of our clients for their faith and trust in us – it’ s been a privilege and a pleasure.”
More recently, Studio MB have continued to produce astonishing work for incredible clients, including Samurai at the British Museum in London; Worlds in Words for the Árni Magnússon Institute in Reykjavík; and a new Oceans experience at the Guangdong Science Centre, the largest of its kind in the world.
