stories of the family who operate it, the development adds depth to the overall offer and builds on its strong sense of place and identity.
Haystack Hills at Lewis Adventure Farm is a large-scale adventure play environment shaped directly by its agricultural context. Familiar rural forms with stacks, barns and landscapes are reimagined as playful structures, creating an experience that feels both imaginative and unmistakably rooted in its surroundings.
At Center Parcs, the former Country Club has been transformed into The Dozing Duck gastropub, which now features a one-of-a-kind sensory indoor children’ s play park. The design was created to deliver children and their parents together to the magical area in and around the pond that lies next door to the pub.
The play brings you deep underwater, clambering upwards to the surface and up into the reeds surrounding the‘ pond’.
Adventure Play at Windsor Great Park, one of the company’ s THEA Award-winning projects, stands as a benchmark for locally-led design. Much of the timber used in the build was sourced from the park itself, while local craftspeople contributed to the detailing of the structures. Elevated walkways, treehouses and inclusive play features allow visitors to move through the canopy and experience the landscape from new perspectives, creating a destination that is both accessible and deeply connected to its environment.
Hockerhill Adventure Play brings the same philosophy into an educational setting. Designed to support imaginative play, physical activity and social development, the space builds on the history of the original Royal Oak and provides children with opportunities to explore, collaborate and build confidence in a natural, engaging indoor environment.
A distinctive approach
Across all projects, a consistent ethos is evident: a respect for place, a commitment to craftsmanship and a belief that play should be as meaningful as it is enjoyable. By drawing on local influences and combining them with creative design and technical expertise, CAP. CO continues to create environments that resonate with visitors and continue to deliver for many years.
