Pyramid playground brings soaring success
Timberplay are specialists in natural playgrounds and , over the last 22 years , have worked with many retail operators to reinvent their offering for families and help make play pay . With landscape-led design at the forefront of their values , they ensure maximum play value of any play space .
In 2019 , Timberplay delivered a significant play development for a new retail centre , the Mall of Arabia , in Cairo , Egypt . This investment was designed to offer exceptional play experiences for their visitors and has helped highlight the largest mall in Egypt as a top-end retail destination .
Working in close collaboration with the lead developer , Marakez , Timberplay were able to adapt their playground equipment to consider the specific demands of the climate and the prevailing play culture . Timberplay equipment predominantly uses Mountain Larch , grown high in the Bavarian Alps , to create tight year rings , a different approach to many play manufacturers but proven over decades . This makes it an ideal material for use in hot climates by ensuring the timber is exceptionally durable .
The developers were looking to create a standout play area . Timberplay designed the focal point of the playground with this in mind ; four massive interconnecting Pyramid Towers , the highest at nine metres tall , and tunnel slides ensure the play area is thrilling for children
