30th anniversary greetings to the RUEF
The Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs ( RUEF ) and its President , Sergey Voronkov received the following messages of congratulations on the association ’ s 30th anniversary , marked on 11 December :
On behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation , I congratulate the RUEF on its 30th anniversary !
Modern exhibitions are platforms for discussion of a variety of issues for many industries at the regional , national and international levels . The exhibition industry plays a key role in establishing a global dialogue , bringing together partners from all over the world , and promotes mutual trust and co-operation . In Russia , the RUEF , which contributed in many ways to the formation of the modern exhibition community in Russia , is the link between the Russian and international exhibition business .
For many years , the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has been fruitfully co-operating with the RUEF . During the crisis period , we joined forces , and the exhibition industry received additional support measures . Today , Russia is facing the challenge of economic recovery , and the development of exhibition activities is one of the most effective tools to achieve this goal .

Innovative ideas of the Union have ensured sustainable development of the exhibition industry in Russia . The Union has proven its readiness to develop and change together with the exhibition industry .
The Chamber and the RUEF have vast experience of long-term co-operation to the benefit of Russian business . They have implemented countless projects and bolstered the industry ’ s significance for the national economy through continuous contact and joint initiatives .
As the exhibition industry faces new challenges today , I have no doubt that the RUEF could serve as a centre implementing breakthrough ideas in the achievement of the most complex tasks and guaranteeing development of the industry .

Over the past years , RUEF has become an authoritative association of leading exhibition companies , which has formed a modern exhibition community in Russia , representing the interests of the domestic exhibition business in the country and abroad . This year , the 30th anniversary is also celebrated by the RUIE .
We highly appreciate the partnership that has developed between us over the years , the results of joint work carried out within the framework of the RUIE Commission on Exhibition Activities . This work contributes , first of all , to the development of effective interaction between exhibition companies and industry associations , which is of particular importance , since today there is not a single truly successful major exhibition that would be held without the support of industry unions and associations .
