Europe – Italian Exhibition Group ’ s
( IEG ) Board of Directors approved its interim report on operations , as of 30 September 2021 .
The Group reported third quarter results that ‘ exceeded expectations ’, with total revenues for the first nine months at € 42.5m ($ US48.7m ). Revenues for Q3 2021 stood at € 35.5m , which was a solid performance compared to the same period of 2020 .
IEG has also confirmed its calendar of corporate events for 2022 as business events return following reopening in the summer .
Americas – Smart Monday , held on
8 November , was a dedicated day of pre-show learning before IMEX America kicked off in Las Vegas .
The day launched with a session by Dr Shimi Kang which highlighted how event professionals could understand the link between face-to-face experiences and wmental health .
Environmental issues were also fundamental during a meeting centric tour with MGM Resorts , which offered a glimpse into Mandalay Bay ’ s sustainability efforts .
Europe – The German trade fair industry association AUMA is leading demands for an easing of restrictions on running exhibitions , so that event organisers are able to plan their events with confidence . Jörn Holtmeier , managing director of AUMA , said : “ The US is showing us the way . They recognise almost every vaccine that is available and the World Health Organisation ’ s ( WHO ) list . The trade fair industry in Germany is calling on the German Government to also quickly recognise the WHO list of Covid-19 vaccines .”
