B its previous two editions , the Abu Dhabi Business Events Forum returned in September to enhance its status as the primary platform for the MICE sector in Abu Dhabi and the wider Middle East North Africa ( MENA ) region . The 2023 event , which took place at the Rixos Marina hotel , Abu Dhabi , as part of Abu Dhabi Travel & Tourism Week ( 25-30 September ) was dedicated to sustainability , event legacy and impact , and talent management .

Abu Dhabi Travel & Tourism Week brings together industry leaders to align on strategies for growing tourism in the emirate .
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau ( ADCEB ), part of the Department of
Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi ( DCT Abu Dhabi ), in conjunction with Abu Dhabi Travel & Tourism Week , the event provides a platform for MICE industry leaders and practitioners to learn , innovate and collaborate via panel discussions , workshops , and networking sessions .
The forum also explored key industry themes , from financial dynamics , to ways to shape a sustainable and prosperous future for the MENA region . Attendees from diverse segments , including event industry associations , convention bureaus , venues , event organisers , destination collaborators , and research entities , came for collaborative discussions and exploration of new opportunities and partnerships .
The two-day agenda was designed to chart the course for the MICE industry ’ s future within the MENA region . Key focal points included the ever-shifting financial landscape , inclusivity , diversity , and equity in the digital age , the MICE sector ’ s substantial economic influence in the MENA region , comprehensive market analysis , and the emergence of transformative trends . Sustainability took centre stage as a unifying theme , emphasising the vital need for conservation efforts and heightened awareness of cultural resonance and the subtle ,
intangible impacts of events .
