Egypt – Enterprise community event engine Bevy , has acquired Cairobased Eventtus , an event management software company . The deal adds 20 engineers to Bevy ’ s international team and extends its event tech stack with the addition of a mobile in-person conference app , and other engagement tools for attendees .
Bevy claims the Eventtus mobile app provides enterprises with the flexibility they need to return to in-person events , continue taking advantage of lower cost virtual events , or embrace a hybrid model .
World – On 8 July , global exhibition and event organiser , Hyve Group plc , announced Q3 had been the Group ’ s busiest trading quarter since the Covid-19 pandemic began . The increased number of events in Q3 reflects the continued momentum across the Group ’ s Eastern markets , primarily Russia , China , Turkey and Ukraine . Hyve also reported net debt at the period end had reduced to approximately £ 73m after the receipt of further insurance proceeds , continued tight cost control and an increase in bookings for upcoming events .
Europe – Cecilia Lavin , head of EMEA sales at One World Rental , has been appointed as the new regional vice-president EMEA for the International Live Events Association ( ILEA ), a global community for creative event professionals .
Overseeing the Europe , Asia , Middle East and Nigeria Chapters of the global association , Lavin said : “ Having been involved with ILEA on a regional and international level for 10 years , I am excited to have the opportunity to work directly with our growing Chapters across EMEA and Asia .”
