EW explores some regional news highlights in the global exhibitions industry
Americas – JLGroup has announced a strategic investment of $ 1m by JLL USA LLC into Vital Show Solutions ( VSS ). The JLL USA Team will operate out of VSS ’ s shop in Dallas , Texas . The investment will strengthen the collaboration between VSS ’ s 19-member team and JLL USA , enabling JLL USA to tap into the expertise of VSS ’ s video and sound teams and project managers . It will also position both companies to manage and execute a combined $ 12m order book for the year .
Keaton Watson , vice-president of business development and operations at JLL , said : “ We are excited to share our expertise and resources with VSS to cultivate a premier rental and staging partner in the industry .”
Americas – The Exhibitions
& Conferences Alliance ( ECA ), the advocacy voice of the US business events industry , has announced that the International Congress and Convention Association ( ICCA ) has joined ECA as its newest alliance partner .
“ Whether its supporting sustainability measures or advancing policies that help advance seamless international travel and commerce , our advocacy efforts are stronger when industry leaders from around the world speak to policymakers with one voice ,” said Hervé Sedky , Emerald Holding Inc . president and CEO and chair of ECA . “ That ’ s why I ’ m thrilled to welcome ICCA and its global community of international association meetings leaders to ECA .”
Europe – Global organiser Informa has strengthened its leadership team and enhanced its share buyback programme amid strong trading across the business .
In a trading update , chief executive Stephen Carter said : “ All Informa ’ s businesses are performing ahead or in line with 2024 targets , delivering growth and momentum , which sees us delivering at the upper end of guidance range .”
For 2024 , adjusted operating profit is forecast at the upper end of the £ 950m to £ 970m range . Carter added this has enabled Informa to increase its 2024 share buyback programme by a further £ 160m to £ 500m .
Europe – Expo Stars Interactive Ltd , a trade show performance agency , has announced its partnership with UKbased exhibitor platform FFAIR . Expo Stars has managed 3,000 exhibition engagement projects in more than 100 cities . They have worked on major exhibitions such as CES , Mobile World Congress , Drupa , FESPA , Gulfood , Arab Health , Pharmapack , Big 5 , ICE , and Totally Gaming .
FFAIR is an online exhibitor manual and e-commerce platform . Its event technology attempts to streamline time-consuming tasks while improving the exhibitor experience . Expo Stars will become a FFAIR
