Jimé Essink has a successful career in the global trade show and conference industry . He has worked for nearly 30 years in leading B2B media businesses in emerging and developed markets throughout Asia , South America and Europe . Roles have included : CEO of VNU Exhibitions Europe and president of VNU Exhibitions Asia . In November 2007 he was appointed CEO of UBM Asia . After the merger of UBM with Informa in 2018 , he became president of the combined business . He retired from Informa end of 2019 and joined the board of jwc in 2020 . Jimé has become one of the founders and the CEO of venueScout , a new online platform for the events industry , since 2021 .
