A Busy Q4 2021 Expected in Budapest
May 26 , 2021 -- Hungexpo is preparing for the reopening in September with full steam , to welcome exhibitors and visitors to Budapest ’ s renewed Congress and Exhibition Center .
A COVID guide / protocol has been introduced in order to accommodate safe events : A new phone app . ensures contactless entries for visitors . Everyone passes through a disinfecting gate and their fever is measured at the same time , automatically . Strict cleaning protocols have also been introduced in the pavilions , including disinfection points on the showfloor .
Gábor Ganczer CEO said they are in constant contact with the exhibiting companies in preparation for the opening . In their experience , companies , both exhibitors and visitors are very much looking forward to attending again well-regulated business events .
He further says :” In the second half of the year there is almost no empty space in our calendar . In the autumn , we will host the International Eucharistic Congress and the inagural international exhibition of the new complex will be ’ One With Nature ’ World of Hunting and Nature Exhibition planned 25 September - 14 October 2021 .”
Mr Ganczer believes that the resumption of business events could bring significant revenue to the remaining players in the event sector , and Hungexpo could close this financial year with a strong positive break-even point .
During the pandemic , Hungexpo Budapest , a GL events site , has been undergoing a EUR 170m expansion and refurbishment project , INCLUDING THE EXPANSION OF THE EXHIBITION SPACE BY ADDING TWO NEW EXHIBITION HALLS .
The three-level state-of-the-art congress centre includes a 2,000pax auditorium and three dozen smaller meeting rooms , plus a 2,500sqm expo area and a rooftop terrace . With the two new exhibition halls and the congress centre HUNGEXPO is becoming the largest multifunctional exhibition and congress venue in Central Eastern Europe .
