Our exhibition halls have been modernised with sustainable solutions, including the use of renewable energy, smart climate control systems, and efficient waste management practices. Connectivity has also been a key focus, with the deployment of high-capacity Wi-Fi networks and digital platforms that enhance interaction between attendees and exhibitors.

What trends are we looking at for the year ahead? We anticipate the consolidation of key trends that have been gaining momentum, such as digitalisation and sustainability. Artificial intelligence will play a crucial role in personalising experiences and optimising event management. Hybrid events will continue to provide global audiences with access by combining in-person and virtual experiences over extended periods. However, the in-person format remains predominant, as we have reaffirmed that professionals overwhelmingly prefer attending events physically rather than following them online.
Sustainability will become an essential requirement. Organisers will need to implement strategies to reduce the carbon footprint of their events, minimise material waste, and promote responsible practices.
We have currently identified several booming economic sectors, such as Defence; Environment; Energy focusing on renewables; Construction and the use of new materials; Sports; and New Technologies, including the rise of artificial intelligence. Staying updated on economic trends is crucial to offering tailored business solutions to each sector and involving them in our professional fairs.
For external organisers interested in working with IFEMA MADRID, our main advice is to make the most of the experience and collaborative ecosystem that we offer.
In November 2025, we will hold the first editions of two trade shows: PRIVEL, dedicated to the private label sector, and SAGRIS, aimed at connecting all key players in the agricultural and livestock industries. Additionally, we are working closely with our partners at Expo Guadalajara to bring the first edition of International Construction Week Mexico to life, replicating the successful model we host at IFEMA MADRID in even-numbered years.
