A the 10th edition of Global Exhibitions Day – Wednesday, 4 June 2025 – it’ s worth reminding the main theme of the campaign for 2025:‘ Exhibitions unleash potential’.

Set up in 2016, Global Exhibitions Day( GED) is held annually on the first Wednesday of June to drive visibility of the exhibition industry globally. In recent years it has seen activations and activities from industry players in over 100 countries and regions around the world.
GED is facilitated by UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, and businesses and professionals in the sector are invited to celebrate GED 2025 by showcasing how exhibitions unleash potential by driving multi-industry growth, empowering professionals, and delivering economic and social impact worldwide.
Four key messages have been introduced to highlight the far reaching benefits for the diverse stakeholders across the exhibition ecosystem:
• Exhibitions drive collaboration and innovation to transform businesses and industries.
• Exhibitions enable new, emerging and established talent to grow and succeed.
• Exhibitions power economic development and societal progress for countries and communities.
• Exhibitions amplify reach, build brands, foster connections and drive revenue through face-toface engagement.
These messages are designed to emphasise how exhibitions unleash potential for all: industries and individuals, communities and companies.
UFI president Hugh Jones says:“ Global Exhibitions Day 2025 is a powerful reminder of how exhibitions unleash potential across industries and communities. This ten-year milestone is an opportunity to n Check out the UFI website for more detail about European Events Week: www. ufieurope. org /
celebrate our industry’ s achievements and to recognise its contribution to economic and social progress. I look forward to celebrating GED 2025 with my colleagues and friends across the world.”
To make it easier to get involved UFI has prepared resources and tools – available at www. globalexhibitionsday. org – to help celebrate GED 2025. Ideas on how to get involved include:

• Partner with local media to raise awareness of GED and the exhibition industry
• Showcase your GED initiatives on social media using # GED2025.
This global day of advocacy is supported by over 70 national and international industry associations.
Be part of a double celebration at European Events Week in Thessaloniki Another few key dates for the diary for European exhibition industry leaders are 3-7 June 2025 where Thessaloniki, Greece will host the UFI European Events Week.
This event will mark a historic milestone as UFI and host, TIF- HELEXPO, are each celebrating 100 years of excellence.
UFI says it expects around 300 exhibition industry leaders from across Europe and beyond to meet, network and learn together over the course of the five days in Greece.
