Middle East – Currently 56 % of the world ’ s population live in cities , according to World Bank statistics and the urgency to reshape urban development strategies has never been more critical . International organiser dmg events has responded with the launch of LiveableCitiesX , an event designed to address the challenges faced by city makers worldwide .
LiveableCitiesX runs 26-28 November 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will co-locate with FutureFM , a show aiming to redefine facilities management , and GeoWorld , an event looking to transform industries with geospatial excellence .
Asia – South Asia ’ s travel show SATTE
2024 , organised by Informa Markets , drew record exhibitor and buyer numbers to India Expo Mart , Greater Noida , in late February . The three-day event ’ s 31st edition spotlighted the theme of ‘ Inclusive and Sustainable Tourism ’.
Over 1,500 exhibitors and 50,000 pre-registered trade attended the show and Mr Yogesh Mudras , managing director of Informa Markets – India , said : “ With India ’ s visitor export earnings projected to hit US $ 50bn by 2028 , SATTE 2024 serves as the cornerstone for achieving Indian tourism ’ s goals .”
Australasia – Global association of the exhibition industry , UFI is to take its 2025 Asia Pacific ( AP ) Conference to Melbourne , Australia . The decision was announced at the 2024 UFI AP conference in Macau ( 7-8 March ), an event which attracted close to 300 attendees from 22 countries . The 2025 event has been secured by the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre ( MCEC ), with the support of the Melbourne Convention Bureau ( MCB ).
The 2025 UFI AP Conference will be held on 13-14 February , immediately following the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event ( AIME ).
