Messe Cologne Since its founding in 1922 Messe Cologne has gone on to become one of the largest and most influential exhibition centres in the world. It has over 284,000sqm of exhibiting floor area and is the third largest venue in terms of indoor exhibition area. Messe Cologne has 11 main halls, two congress centres and an additional 100,000sqm of open space and park areas. Forty kilometres south of Düsseldorf, Messe Cologne is in easy reach by car, train or plane from most major European cities. Messe Stuttgart Located in the beautiful capital city of Baden-Württemberg, bang in the heart of central Europe, Messe Stuttgart is a popular choice for exhibitions. Messe Stuttgart offers a combined area of 105,200sqm across its seven halls and hosts events across various industry sectors. Messe Stuttgart is located right next door to the city’s international airport – according to its management, it is just 355 steps from the exhibition centre. The new centre will offer 36,000sqm of space, including 12,000sqm of exhibition space and will be one of the largest, most advanced convention centres in Europe. Florian Gerdes, Marketing Manager Conventions at Hamburg Convention Bureau, says: “Hamburg is Germany’s second largest city and has a venue offering to match – the CCH when it launches in the summer will be the largest of its kind in Germany. Having said that, it’s also a highly walkable and connected city, with Hamburg Messe, CCH Hamburg and the main transport hubs all a short distance away from each other. “Hamburg Convention Bureau has extensive experience hosting large-scale exhibitions and events, working with organisers to support bids, make partner and sponsor introductions, hosting fringe events and marketing support.” Hamburg is also expecting seven hotels to launch in the city before the end of the year. Messe Berlin Messe Berlin has 26 dedicated halls offering 180,000sqm of space, and a multifunctional business suite consisting of an additional 20 rooms and a rooftop terrace that can hold up to 200 guests. In normal times over 75 airlines connect Berlin’s international airports with 173 destinations, making Messe Berlin one of Germany’s best- connected exhibition venues.
