terms of geographical locations , and the bureau says it has mapped out a busy calendar of planned activities including sales visits and participation in trade shows and showcases .

A major support initiative for homegrown exhibitions was launched in August 2023 , the MyTripleE Support Program . Support is exclusively for hosting national new and existing trade or semitrade exhibitions with a minimum of 1,000sqm gross space and a minimum of two days ’ duration .

There are also advanced plans to extend the educational programmes on offer for industry players .

The Certified in Exhibition Management ( CEM ) Programme will next run in April 2024 in Penang ( in collaboration with PCEB ) and the target is for 30-50 participants .

It will be the bureau ’ s third certification programme , following Kuala Lumpur ( 2022 ) and Sarawak ( 2023 ).

Meanwhile work continues on the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre which has a target completion

date in Quarter 1 , 2025 . When finished it will offer a pillarless exhibition hall measuring over 7,000sqm .
