interesting angle and it ’ s fun , it ’ s witty , but also serious at the same time and they have very interesting speakers . So I contacted them and said ‘ would you be interested in a licence ?’ So that ’ s how it started . They ’ re well known in the fashion industry and set up the Postcards from Midlife podcast during Covid . They have had about four million downloads in the last couple of years . I watched that growth and thought it was interesting and would make good business sense .
“ The thing about Postcards Live is it is really about bringing a community of women together to shop , have fun , and come away with a positive attitude and be able to celebrate a time of their
lives .” “ I ’ m fascinated by this because there ’ s been a shift in people being more open in discussing these topics . I wanted to do something that was not around . It ’ s groundbreaking , because nobody has done something like this .”
Whist preparing for the first edition , Cooper is philosophical about the launch , self-deprecatingly describing the whole concept as “ probably crazy ” adding “ I like to do things that haven ’ t been done .”
If her previous nose for a good idea is anything to go by , it seems bound to be a success .

With more than 100 speakers lined up for the show – “ everything from insomnia , to empty-nest syndrome , careers , finance ” - the trickiest bit has been curating the content to make it feel extra special and boutique . Added to that
they have brought in a show designer to create a luxury aesthetic .
“ The idea was to create a boutique events , you want to have a space that looks and feels nice . So one of the things was , do we go to a big exhibition hall or do we try and find a really cool venue ? The BDC for us was a natural place that didn ’ t feel like a huge exhibition hall , and we could make it feel designer . She adds that the venue ’ s sustainable credentials also chime well with their
