To Harrogate and beyond

Harrogate Convention Centre ( HCC ) has proved the pull of the North , by securing several large-scale exhibitions returning on long-term contract . HCC signed a long-term contract with Christmas & Gift Fair until 2028 .
Other exhibitions returning to the North Yorkshire spa town on multiyear contracts include Home & Gift Buyers Festival ( 16-19 July ), Harrogate Bridal Show ( 10-12 September ), The Flooring Show ( 17-19 September ), Harrogate International Nursery Fair ( 15-17 October ), Northern Homebuilding and Renovating Show ( 3-5 November ), The Knitting and Stitching Show ( 16-19 November ) and Country Living Christmas Show ( 30 November-3 December 2024 ).
More Northern growth news from Hub Exhibitions with the launch of Karren Brady ’ s Women in Business & Tech Expo at Manchester Central . The event aims to target northern visitors and exhibitors and complement the established London event , which has seen four years of growth at ExCeL London .
The Manchester event will take place from 5-6 March 2024 .
Christie Day , group event director at Hub Exhibitions , said : “ The event provides an opportunity for women at any stage in their career , and with the increase challenges of travelling to London and the cost-of-living crisis , we wanted to ensure WIBTE was accessible to every professional across the UK .
“ This new event will enable exhibitors , sponsors and partners to expand their reach across both Northern and Southern regions of the UK .”
Hub is also expecting their biggest Space-Comm Expo yet with 2023 a pivotal year for the UK space industries . Combining an exhibition of spearheading organisations and a first-class conference programme , event has grown more than 75 % since its 2021 launch . The UK ’ s largest exhibition dedicated to the commercial future of space will see British astronaut Tim Peake headline the content programme from 7-8 June at Farnborough .
Rob Sherwood , managing director of Hub Exhibitions , said : “ While remaining agile and at the forefront of the industry , Space-Comm Expo has grown exponentially since its launch , producing more international attendance and exhibition interest year-on-year .”
Clarion Retail launched its new Home Interiors Show in January . The first outing ran alongside the January Furniture Show at the NEC from 22-25 January . The first full event will take place from 10-12 September alongside Top Drawer , at Olympia London .
Portfolio director Zoe Bonser said : “ We are delighted to be creating something fresh and new , that is more in line with what the retail community wants for the future and that also puts the buyer at the heart of the experience , to give them exactly what they need .” With launches coming thick and fast ExCeL London hosted 16 brand new shows in 2022 including a further dozen relocated from other venues . Launches this year include HR Tech , Disability Expo , National Snow Show , Caring Times and Engineering Zero . The NEC saw 17 new launches , plus six relocations in 2022 . Another nine shows will be launching at the Birmingham venue this year . EN
