The divestment follows their exit from Indonesia in June this year with the sale of their 50 % stake in Debindo to their JV partner .

Diversified In the USA , Diversified Communications has acquired Smart Energy Decisions ( SED ) focussing on the clean energy sector . On the event side SED organises hosts buyer meetings comprising net zero forums , renewable energy forums and innovation summits There is also a digital media business producing webinars , podcasts , eNewsletters , research and custom media . The acquisition ticks two boxes for Diversified – hosted buyer events are becoming increasingly desirable and they also wanted to add to their energy portfolio . Over the last few years Diversified has acquired Energy Storage North America ( ESNA ), Intersolar North America , EES ( electrical energy storage ) and Power2Drive .
Hyve Hyve group continues its divestment of non-core businesses and their move
IEG Italian Exhibition Group ( IEG ) has acquired Singapore International Jewelry Expo , Cafè Asia , Sweet and Bakes Asia and Restaurant Asia , from Edward Liu ’ s CEMS . This follows the recent acquisitions of 50 % of Deutsche Messe ’ s companies in Mexico , Canada , and the USA and 75 % of V Group , organiser of the Myplant & Garden exhibition . IEG also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Singapore Tourism Board ( STB ) for the development of trade shows and conferences there . The STB has been busy with their business development also signing a co-operation agreement with Comexposium who will launch their Silmo ( eye-wear ) and Vinexpo brands in Singapore .
Blue Ant Media It seems to have become a tradition to finish my column with the reporting of an acquisition of a home show or a Christmas show somewhere in the USA and usually with Marketplace Events as the buyer . This month we have a slight variation on the theme . Canadian based broadcasting and media group Blue Ant Media has acquired a majority stake in Toronto Home Shows , organiser of three home shows including the National Home Show , Canada ’ s largest consumer show held over 10 days . Blue Ant already has a portfolio of consumer events including the Spring and Fall Cottage Life Shows and the Ottawa Cottage Life and Backyard Show . EN
