A exhibitions industry since the EN 30underThirty class were awarded their trophies back in January . Following a difficult two years of uncertainty , the 30 talented event professionals have seen their careers blossom since meeting together as a group for the first time , and this is only the beginning .
Catriona Macdonald , commercial manager at Montgomery Group , says the EN30 events have been a “ great source of advice ”, which have helped her to be promoted to commercial manager , where she now supports two sales executives . “ Through the 30u30 networking events and roundtable , I have connected with some hugely talented people across
our industry and have come away with a more nuanced perspective on organising events .”
Catherine Bishop , operations manager at Game Fair , adds : “ I have successfully run the operations this year for Northern Shooting Show - new to our portfolio this year . I also ran The Game Fair and Welsh Game Fair - which was a launch event this year , and now we have World Gunmakers Evening coming up .”
Hyve ’ s Alex Oxley also says she has had a very busy 2022 since being inducted in the EN30 and has since been promoted to marketing manager at the NEC trade show Glee .
“ A lot of research and work behind the scenes , moving the event to a better time in the buying cycle for our industry , meant we really tried to build excitement around the June event ,” says Oxley . “ We launched new features and had an amazing launch party . I am now working a big branding project for the event to give our event that summer feel , and with our ambitions to become a real international event . It has been incredibly exciting and rewarding to work on such a loved event at such a transformative time .”
She adds : “ EN30 certainly holds a lot of recognition , so it has been incredibly useful to be part of the class of 2021 . The biggest benefit has been making connections industry wide , which will be valuable for years to come .” EN
