Geo-cloning in London the perception would be different .

“ If you want to establish close relationships with these organisations , you need people who speak the right languages . Our Easyfairs office in Paris is pretty small , running our biggest shows . The huge advantage of having an office here is to stay close to all of the community that we serve . We take that being embedded with the community really seriously . In can make the difference between these companies sending a couple of people to sending 80 or 100 people to our show .”
New priorities The aftermath of the pandemic and increasing awareness of carbon footprint is changing the landscape of attendance at business events , Brooks says , making geo-cloning a smart solution in bringing the events to the market .
He says : “ We are running an event in the UK with international , but predominantly UK visitors . The one in Paris has a big international aspect in terms of exhibitors , but it is 70 % French visitors and in fact 50 % Parisian visitors , so while it ’ s 30 % international it ’ s also 50 % really local . Milan is the same , really local . The principle is we are running events in the heart of the communities we serve – we ’ re not expecting visitors to travel , but our exhibitors to travel . Which is smaller numbers .”
The pause of live events during the pandemic allowed Easyfairs to take a step back and reassess each brand , Brooks says .
“ These business development thought processes have been going on all the time , but were accelerated by the slowdown of the covid-period and not running shows ,” he explains .
“ It ’ s difficult to know how much is result of geo-cloning or rebranding or just because people haven ’ t come to an event in so long , but what we ’ re seeing is definitely showing energy and enthusiasm in the market .” EN

Easyfair ’ s packaging world

PCD launched in 2001 , sets the global agenda for packaging innovators and suppliers in the perfume , cosmetics and skincare sectors . PLD launched in 2020 , is dedicated to driving packaging innovation and business in the global market for premium and luxury drinks . The event connects more than 150 suppliers of packaging for wine , spirits , sparkling wine and other premium drinks with the leading drinks brands .
Paris Packaging Week including ADF , PCD and PLD will take place on 29-30 June 2022 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles
Packaging Premiere Milan acquired by Easyfairs in 2019 after its third edition . Because of the pandemic 2022 will be the first edition under Easyfairs ’ ownership .
Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging have been running in London since 2017 – now collectively branded as London Packaging Week . PCD , PLD and Packaging Premier including Food and Consumerpack will all be running under the umbrella from 21-22 September 2022 at Olympia London .
PCD Milan and Milan Premiere will run launch editions on 24-26 May at Fieramilanocity , Milan .
