It is hard to believe that the last time the EN Awards took place was in March 2019 . The 2020 event was scheduled to take place on 23 March that year , which as it turned out , was to be the same day the UK went into lockdown . And so , the curtain came down on the industry as it entered , without question , its most challenging period . If nothing else , the Covid-19 pandemic has made us all realise just how valuable face-to-face interaction is , and that whether we celebrate or commiserate , it is best done together .
Mash Media has always insisted that the EN Awards would run as soon as it possibly could and has remained agile with the date over the last few months . Now , though , the industry ’ s biggest party is going ahead , and we can ’ t wait to see as many of you as possible . The black-tie event will once again return to Evolution London , located in Battersea on 2 July , and is supported by Livebuzz and Olympia London . Showcase AVI , Exhibition Centre Liverpool , and RAI Amsterdam have also partnered with us to help
make the event the grand experience the industry deserves . Mash Media ’ s Duncan Siegle , the awards director , has been coordinating the event and said both he and the publisher can ’ t wait to celebrate the return of events . “ We can ’ t wait to celebrate the return of live events when the doors open for the much-delayed EN Awards on 2 July ,” he said . “ The last year has been an awful time for the entire industry so it is important to get everyone back together for a night of real celebration of our amazing
feats of the last year .” Siegle added that , despite everything , celebrating excellence remains at the event ’ s core . “ The EN Awards is all about celebrating excellence , and we know that the industry wants to come back with a bang , so we will be going allout on making these awards the best yet ,” he said . “ Most of us haven ’ t seen each other for over a year now , so when we are able to get together , there is no doubt we won ’ t be taking it for granted . Thank you to the industry for your patience , it will be worth it .”
