“ So , perish the thought , if something fails , like a piece of equipment an exhibition stand , do you have enough evidence to support yourself in court ?”
changed to suit your needs and it can be reconfigured to meet the type of tasks that you need to ensure are carried out . A : GM : It ’ s all about accountability . This gives you a ‘ golden thread ’ so you can monitor accountability throughout the entire process . aren ’ t always aware of everything that goes on when it comes to , for example , show build . A : ND : This could be operated at your level as an organiser , and you could mandate that a sub-contractor use this . However , I ’ m sure many subcontractors will have existing systems that they use to report to you as an organiser and we ’ re very experienced with integrating with other systems . You could use elements of this along with theirs and it would ripple up to your level . What it wouldn ’ t do is give you the 100 % assurance that certain checks had been carried out . That ’ s the big differentiator that we bring . Should someone be injured , for example , and the case goes to court , a sub-contractor might present to the judge a spreadsheet , but it will not have the integrity to stand up . It sounds like , on the premise it was being used , I would have been able to establish whether or not they had done XYZ . Said contractor may claim that it wasn ’ t their fault ? A : ND : Where this really protects you is in that , for example if a set falls over and , God forbid , kills somebody , you would all end up in court . The only defence you would have is that you had adequate procedures in place to assure yourself that all the risk assessment checks had been made . If there ’ s any chance information can be tampered with , then you ’ re potentially in trouble .
