Blackpool is undergoing a huge programme of regeneration
with investment in public realm, transport infrastructure,
visitor attractions, hotels and events.
As part of this rejuvenation of the UK’s most visited seaside
resort, a new £28m state-of-the-art conference and exhibition
centre is being integrated into the world-famous Winter
Gardens complex.

comprises multiple venues including the Empress Ballroom,
the Opera House Theatre, conference facilities and an

of the biggest names in show business as well as staging
major party political conferences, West End shows and
international events. It is the home of the world’s biggest
ballroom dance competition.
When the new facility opens next year, it will create an
inter-connected space with capacity for up to 7,000 delegates.
Its operating company, Blackpool Entertainment Company
Ltd, is looking to make two senior appointments to help take
the Winter Gardens into the next phase of its development
and secure its place as a key driver of Blackpool’s economy.
