If everyone did something, then huge differences can happen.” Greta Thunberg, Cover feature EN Easyfairs continues growth in Germany Roar Techmedia acquires Naidex, RWM and B2B Marketing Expo Global exhibition organiser Easyfairs has acquired a 100% stake in Stuttgart-based Untitled Exhibitions GmbH. Easyfairs acquired all of the shares and assets of Untitled Exhibitions GmbH on 5 December 2019. Following the acquisition of the mechanical engineering exhibitions FMB in February, this is now the second acquisition in Germany this year. The company has also strengthened its portfolio of events in the DACH region with All About Automation (AAA), four regional exhibitions focused on industrial automation. Untitled Exhibitions GmbH launched the All About Automation trade fairs in 2014. In 2019, the four All About Automation events in Hamburg, Essen, Leipzig and Friedrichshafen welcomed more than 600 exhibitors. The events receive a high degree of customer satisfaction among exhibitors and visitors with a recommendation rate of over 90%. Tanja Waglöhner will remain managing director of Untitled Exhibitions GmbH under the Easyfairs umbrella. She and the entire organising team at All About Automation, based in Stuttgart, will remain on board and will drive forward the expansion and further development of All About Automation trade fairs within Roland Brand’s area of responsibility. Roar Techmedia, a trade exhibitions organiser, has obtained an investment from Apiary Capital to fund the acquisition of a portfolio of events from Prysm Media Group. The events are focused on the environmental, marketing and healthcare technology sectors and include brands such as RWM smd Naidex. CEO of Roar Techmedia, Duncan Kirk, said: “The potential to revolutionise these events not only in the UK, but also internationally, is significant. Our management team will deliver a new experience to attendees and exhibitors alike.” Arena Birmingham offers audio description Arena Birmingham offered audio description for the first time at Marvel Universe LIVE! The venue accommodated a request from a customer whose sons are visually impaired by partnering with VocalEyes, a company which provides audio description services. The describers, who saw an earlier performance of the show and prepared a script, were able to offer the real-time description via headsets, making the show more accessible to those with all levels of visual impairment.
