et at the NEC in
Birmingham, One Day
At Christmas (ODAC)
saw people from all over
the event industry come
together to provide a festive
treat for those at local care
homes. Over 450 elderly
attended, and around 35
volunteers helped out.
Those that attended the
event enjoyed a Christmas
lunch along with other
festive treats, including
entertainment and dancing.
Event organiser, Dan
Edwards, said: “This year’s
One Day at Christmas was
absolutely brilliant! It was
our biggest ever, with 455
attendees from the local
area coming to the NEC.
“ODAC is all about
bringing together people
who may otherwise be
lonely, at this time of
year when no one should
be on their own. Those
attending enjoyed great
food, entertainment and
good company – exactly
what we set out to achieve.
We couldn’t have done
it without the industry’s
support and donations – not
only of money, but wine,
prizes, and time.

already asking when we’ll be
