It began in October 2017, and was formed in order to tackle issues like sustainability and congestion in the mobility industry, whilst also looking at changes in the industry, like ride-sharing apps, electric vehicles and more. Since then, the show has grown rapidly, going from 2,800 visitors and 400 speakers in 2018, to 5,000 visitors and 800 speakers in 2019. The key features of the event are the 16 stages (expanding from the nine theatres at 2018’s event), which host a range of speakers and include the Pitching Theatre – a space where start-ups have 10 minutes to pitch their ideas, in the hope of making it to the keynote stage later on in the event. What’s next? With MOVE events already taking place in Austin, Texas and Singapore, MOVE plans to continue this global expansion, whilst also nurturing and growing the London event. The event also plans to tackle new issues within the mobility industry as they arise. The London Classic Car Show is an international event for road and race cars across the UK and Europe. Organised by Brand Events, it is now in its sixth year, and has moved to Olympia London. Event director, Bas Bungish, said: “Our move to Olympia London allows us to offer an improved and accessible premium platform for our valued exhibitors, and an even better experience for those travelling from across the UK, Europe and around the globe to view and purchase these incredible cars.” The 2020 event marks the anniversary of a number of significant events within the motoring industry. Each anniversary will have its own interactive exhibit. Also featuring is ‘Car Stories’ – a series of live lectures on six classic or historic motorsport cars. Presented by special guests from the industry, including designers, racing drivers and owners, visitors will have the opportunity to learn the importance of each car. What’s next? Bungish said: “The move to Olympia is very exciting and gives us the opportunity to grow and develop the show in the coming years. As part of this, we would like to grow the international nature and appeal of the show.” The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show’s aim is to bring the ‘biggest brands, latest models and widest selection of caravans and motorhomes together’, and help attendees make the best decision when selecting a caravan, motorhome or holiday home. Organised by QD Events, features at the show include lessons and live demonstrations as well as the new Campervan Hall, the Accessory Superstore, Free Towing Manoeuvring lessons from the Caravan and Motorhomes Club, and the Vango Camping Village. The 2020 anticipates a similar attendance to the 2019 show, which saw 23,000 visitors. What’s next? Group show director, Darren Brechin said: “We are considering the possibility of adapting our current model into different regions along with reviewing existing offerings and opportunities based on feedback from the industry and consumers to ensure we deliver exactly what our consumers want.” February — 11
