East of England Arena welcomes new fitness event High Intensity Live
The East of England Arena and Event
Centre (EEAEC) has announced the launch
of new fitness show High Intensity Live, which
will take place 29 June 2019.
Organised by Matt Weston of Empire
Gyms, High Intensity Live will be an indoor
event, bringing together a number of High
Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) brands to
create a one-day endurance and fitness
challenge, the equal of any mud run or
obstacle course.
Weston explained how the event was first
conceived, saying: “We’ve followed and
delivered a broad variety of HIIT products
over the years, and it’s always struck me
that these brands attract a huge amount of
loyalty from their fans.
“We saw an appetite for a one-day
endurance event based on high intensity
training, bringing all the leading training
brands together in a richly motivational
environment with DJs, top-flight sound
systems and well-known instructors.”
High Intensity Live will feature eight
disciplines including Les Mills SPRINT Cycle,
Les Mills GRIT, Insanity Live, P90X Live, Metafit,
HIITSTEP, Totally Shredded Drum and Bass
and Totally Shredded HIIT House.

Clarion’s ICE London launches stand graphics recycling initiative
B2B gaming event ICE London, organised
by Clarion Gaming, has announced a new
initiative to tackle trade show waste, with the
launch of the ICE Graphics Amnesty for its
exhibitors.
The show is partnering with EcoBooth, a
zero-waste event production company, to work
with the event’s 589 exhibitors to collect the
most common stand waste materials. These
will then be recycled into a sheet material used
to make an array of products and outdoor
furniture for the local community, and used in
communal spaces surrounding ExCeL London.
Kate Chambers, managing director at
Clarion Gaming, explained: “We are calling
upon our exhibitors and partners to work with
us on the first ICE Graphics Amnesty, a very
worthy, much needed project that supports both
the environment and the local community.
“The ICE Amnesty is the perfect way for us
to showcase how the wealth of innovation and
ingenuity found within the gaming industry
can be applied to broader issues such as the
environment and sustainability.
“Exhibitors who choose to invest in the
project will not only be driving the future of
events, they will also receive an ICE Graphic
Amnesty certification to display as part of their
stand during the show. We will be recognising
the most committed exhibitors courtesy of
the #icegraphicsamnesty19 social media
campaign, and through Clarion’s marketing
and promotional channels during and after the
event.”
Aventri has joined forces with
event chatbot company Sciensio to
create an end-to-end management
solution which leverages ‘EventBots’
using artificial intelligence to provide
answers to thousands of common
event questions.
Previously, attendees would have
had to search a website, download
an app, contact a call centre or send
an email. Organisers would have
had to devote time to responding to
repetitive questions, often in the busy
days leading up to the event.
Brad Langley, VP of channel and
partner management at Aventri,
commented: “EventBots use AI and
text to drive richer event experiences.
They enable attendees to get
answers in a way that’s in tune with
how they receive information in the
rest of their lives.
