EDITOR’S LETTER
REFLECTING ON
THE INDUSTRY
I
t really makes me happy looking at this month’s cover feature (p24).
Not only was the discussion EN hosted a fascinating and enjoyable
conversation with a group of extremely smart and talented women, it
was a chance to reflect on the exhibition industry – both its weaknesses and
its strengths.
And reflection isn’t in short supply elsewhere in the issue either.
We’ve compiled four fantastic panels for discussions on the EN stand at
International Confex on 26-27 February (p37), covering issues that have
been making significant waves in exhibitions across the UK and globally.
Confex is a great opportunity for the industry to come together, socialise,
make connections, share best practice and do business, and this year’s event
promises to be better than ever.
In this issue we also talk with Richard Armitage, who was awarded
Outstanding Contribution to the Industry at the EN Elite Awards, and who
looks back on a 50-year career in exhibitions.
There’s a lot going on in this packed February issue, and no doubt the
industry is running at full pelt through one of the busiest months of the
year. It’s at times like this when we can really come together and create
incredible things, we do it like no one else.
See you at Confex, and enjoy the issue.
