At-Home Workouts
Technology is transforming the way
people work out, and thanks to workout
apps and live-streamed sessions, you no
longer need to leave your home to get
a good workout. Home gym equipment
like Peloton (an exercise bike with a
built-in screen that streams live and
on-demand classes), as well as smart
equipment like intelligent weight-lifting
systems and rowing machines and
even full-length mirrors that act as a
personal trainer, are revolutionising the
way people approach exercise, and is
allowing people to be fully flexible with
their workout routine.
Mindful Workouts
Mindful workouts recognise the stress-
relieving aspect of exercise and its
ability to reduce anxiety, and adds to it
through adding mindfulness tequines
that aim to reduce depression and
anxiety. By harnessing both techniques,
people can strengthen their brain and
their body at the same time, through
placing emphasis on what happens
before and after they work out, e.g.
following a nutrition plan, getting
enough sleep and meditating.
Tracking Your Workout
Fitness wearables are rapidly evolving,
and include tech such as fitness
trackers, smartwatches, and heart
monitors. Wearables have ranked in
the top three trends every year since
2016, and see set to grow even more, as
they allow consumers to track almost
everything around their fitness, from
sleep time to steps, to heart rate.
