Estos tres animales están en vía de extinción debido a la irresponsabilidad humana con la minería legal e ilegal. Esto sucede debido a que en los páramos colombianos se encuentran varios minerales distintos y valiosos para los mineros, como el carbón, la esmeralda, el níquel, el oro y los metales preciosos.
Los animales del páramo suelen ser muy discretos debido a los bajos climas que se encuentran en este ecosistema. En el páramo existe un claro ejemplo de la dependencia entre la fauna y la flora, ya que por las noches con las bajas temperaturas, para los invertebrados las suaves hojas de los frailejones, son su refugio para las heladas. Los animales que residen en este ecosistema dependen del páramo y viceversa, Los animales utilizan algunos de los recursos que les ofrece el páramo para su supervivencia, pero al páramo le beneficia que algunas aves se coman las semillas de algunas plantas, esto contribuye para evitar la deforestación.
¿Así que vamos a tomar acción con respecto a lo que está sucediendo en nuestro país o nos vamos a quedar callados viendo cómo la biodiversidad de nuestro país se derrumba y queda finalmente por los suelos?
The Causes of the Extinction of Wildlife or Fauna in the Moor
The extinction of the ecosystems is a problema that affects us all, not only the animals or plants, also the humans, because without the ecosystems the humanity would die. But, Which is the responsibility of the humans in the destruction of ecosystems? what are the causes? Even if the humans die whether they take care of the biodiversity or not, it does matter, but we are destroying everything, regardless the the effects.
Among the most catastrophic effects for the moorland is mining, or extraction of natural resources. In mining activities they use mercury, cyanide and other chemicals that are deadly and extremely harmful to the environment, eroding the land and causing the death of a lot of people.
Other human activities that affect the moorland, is the cattle raising, because the hectares of the Andean jungle are taken to cattle raise, because the man practiced hunting various animals, such as the mountain eagle and the Andean bear. Agriculture, like livestock, requires taking large Andean jungle hectares.
However mining, cattle raising, agriculture and other human activities bring benefits to the human beings, so there is a question to be asked: What happens to the planet? One of the biggest complications the planet has is the climate change, and this has produced a lot of negative effects for the moorland.
In conclusion, human beings have been playing an important role in the destruction and extinction of the moorland, because the majority of their activities are destructive for this ecosystem.
