Get in quick for incentive travel bookings
Incentive travel rewards for corporates could soon be back on the table following the opening of Australia ’ s international borders . The Society of Incentive Travel Excellence Australia and New Zealand Chapter says corporates haven ’ t spent incentive travel reward budgets over the past two years and they ’ re ready to do so now .
Unfortunately for venue-hunting EAs , this could mean securing some venues will be challenging . With New
Zealand ’ s border still closed and many corporates not wanting to travel too far from home , at least for the first half of 2022 , some of Australia ’ s most popular high-end properties could be in high demand . Venues including Hayman and Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays , and some five-stars in Cairns and Port Douglas are already experiencing high levels of enquiries .
Your other challenge ? Getting your exec to their destination . Following the reopening of international borders in February , there has been a significant reduction in air capacity domestically and globally . That will , of course , impact where and when people can travel .
Tourism and Transport Forum CEO Margie Osmond remains positive , however : “ Our industry has faced so many challenges over the last two years , but it is renowned for being resilient and I have every faith it will bounce back better and bigger than before .” S
