Soak up Sydney at Taronga Centre
Dine, wine and have an animal encounter at the Taronga Centre in the heart of
Taronga Zoo, while enjoying views of the Sydney harbour with Restaurant Associates
JANUARY 31, 2017
It’s not every day you get an animal encounter while enjoying
some of the best views this country has to offer – but Executive PA
Readers are getting the opportunity to do just that.
Held in the Harbourview Ballroom in the Taronga Centre,
on the second floor of the function centre, guests will start with
an experiential tour of the venue and what it can mean for any
corporate event, meeting or conference.
On the grounds of Taronga Zoo, the venue has stunning views
of Sydney Harbour, including the Harbour Bridge, Opera House
and Fort Denison.
EAs will be guided to the entrance of the Wild Ropes adventure
course, which is great for team building experiences and group
activity, and the top of the sky safari, a great way to get to your event
group from the ferry, which is only 12 minutes from Circular Quay.
There will be a brief scenic tour through the zoo, past tree
kangaroos to the function centre, reception area and up to the
Harbourview Terrace to view the space, before heading down
the centre stairway into the Harbourview Ballroom for canapes
and a cocktail.
Before dining on dishes created by the in-house chefs, there
will be an animal encounter, and following dinner, a dessert
station will showcase the work of the in-house pastry chef.
In addition there will be a competition to go in the running to
win a team-building afternoon for up to 12 people.
Restaurant Associates, which runs all aspects of event
operations at the Taronga Centre, supports Taronga Conservation
Society Australia (TCSA) through sharing a portion of all revenue
generated from events.
The revenue goes towards supporting all worldwide
conservation initiatives led by TCSA, including conservation
efforts such as saving Sumatran Tigers in Indonesia from
extinction, supporting local communities in protecting Asian
Elephants and rescuing injured or abandoned wildlife in Australia
through Taronga’s wildlife hospital.
Restaurant Associates prides itself on flexibility and its
dedication, to ensure all events are offered a bespoke experience,
whether a morning meeting, a three-day conference, or an
extravagant awards night.
And as Corporate Coordinator Theresa Nesbitt says “At
Taronga Function Centre not only are we able to create any style
of event our client wants with stunning background views, but are
able to provide them with ineffable experiences throughout the
zoo. Where else could you touch an echidna during your event?!”
