EVENTS DESTINATION NEWS Lonely Planet places Western Australia at the top of their list Margaret River and Southern WA have been named as the best destination to visit in the Asia Pacific by Lonely Planet. The southern part of the vast state made number one on the ‘Best in Asia Pacific’ list, an annual ranking of the top ten destinations in the region. “Take one look at Meelup Beach and you’ll wonder where it’s been all your life,” reads the list. “West Australian bush parts to reveal ocean the hue of a Bombay Sapphire bottle, which is typical of the coastline stretching from Margaret River to the state’s south. Other notable conferences include The International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses, International Congress of Genetics, 20th International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR), the World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology, and the World Congress of Philosophy.
