Hilton set to open luxury island resort in the Maldives Hilton’s luxury brand, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, will soon welcome guests to the heart of the South Malé Atoll with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi. Set to debut on 1 July, the all-villa resort spans three private islands providing an escape for travellers, complete with a range of activities for guests. Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi will offer a retreat 30-minutes from Malé International Airport via the resort’s private yacht. The resort will have 122 luxury villas, each equipped with a pool and views of the Indian Ocean in its own private enclave. The Convention Centre offers a selection of flexible areas including joint rooms, balconies, a new foyer, ballroom, and various boardrooms. Auckland Park Hyatt The developers of the Park Hyatt in Auckland say the hotel will open a few weeks after mid-year. The six level, 25,000 square meter, 190 room hotel located on the Wynyard Quarter’s Halsey Street, will feature three restaurants, spa, fitness centre, and a pool. Pop up hotels in the Victorian wine country Wine Down Pop Up is offering a limited time vineyard experience. Between April and July guests can visit the luxury, portable shipping container accommodation in three locations across the Victorian wine country, Tarwin Valley, King Valley and Macedon Ranges.
