Good Travel Management partner with Diamond Air to provide access to Covid-19 testing

There has been a major development in the business travel sector that bodes well for the return of safe international travel for all businesses .
Good Travel Management have partnered with Diamond Air to offer their customers access to a reliable , and fast , COVID-19 testing service that will help travellers to travel safely and reduce quarantine time when returning to England . It comes following the update to the Government Advice on the 15th December with passengers arriving in England given the option to shorten the post-trip self-isolation period by up-to-half by providing a negative COVID-19 test result .
The partnership means Good Travel Management can provide a Home Test Kit through Diamond Air ’ s Safe Travel solution , meaning the traveller ’ s sample will then be analysed by one of the government ’ s approved “ test to release ” providers and a results certificate emailed to the traveller , in PDF format , to be used before onward travel .
Through Diamond Air and Good Travel Management , a range of pretravel testing options can be obtained by clients at a reduced pricing , from the “ Home Test ” where results can be obtained 48 hours from the time the sample is collected , through to an in-clinic “ express test ” with a 4-12 hour turnaround time , meaning travellers can maximise safety and wellbeing , whilst continuing to operate their business travel activities .
“ We welcome our partnership with Good Travel Management and hope that by offering their clients a fast , and reliable COVID-19 testing service we can instil travel confidence and alleviate any concerns for when they return to travelling ,” said Paul Simmons , Head of Operations at Diamond Air International . Living in Australia and New Zealand , international business travel can be a huge task . Most international flights from the southern hemisphere to other major countries take almost double , sometimes triple , that from say Europe or the US . The possibility of that travel time being cut in half is a game changer for Australian and New Zealand business travel . Aerion Supersonic has announced it ’ s moving forward with the production of a next-generation supersonic jet in 2023 .
The company announced plans to build a brand-new manufacturing facility in Melbourne , Florida . The $ 300 million facility is expected to have 185,000 square metres of building space and will be located near the Melbourne-Orlando Airport . This brand-new Aerion facility will create 675 jobs in order to develop the first commercial supersonic aircraft in 50 years . The Concorde was the only other supersonic jet in service but was retired in 2003 .
Aerion predicts the supersonic jet is expected to cut at least four hours off the flight time from New York to Sydney , which took more than 19 hours on a Qantas test flight in 2019 . Currently supersonic travel is banned over land due to the sonic boom that occurs when flying at supersonic speeds . But Aerion says their jet will feature “ Boomless Cruise ” technology . The aircraft is also designed to fly entirely on synthetic jet and aims to be carbon neutral right from launch . Aerion plans to manufacture 300 AS2 jets in its first ten years of production . S
